We know that this Disney ship will sail out of Singapore – but very few other details are known. It has been announced that the biggest ship in the fleet will be named Disney Aventure.
Parents check their kiddos into the Club on Deck 3, and then they SLIDE DOWN to Deck 2, where the club is located (sorry, it’s a kids-only slide, no adults allowed). The same can be said of the bars and lounges, the Wish has NINE (well, TEN if you include Hook’s Barbery, which will serve up some rum while you get your beard trimmed)! There’s even a $5,000 cocktail you can get at the exclusive Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. A seven-night cruise in the Caribbean will likely start around $5,000 for a family of four. Expect Alaska and Europe cruises to start at $5,000 to $6,000 for inside cabins for a week, and prices go up for longer sailings and upgraded cabins. To give an idea of the cost, a four-person family on a four-night cruise would pay $232 in recommended tips.
Another good but one-time-only perk of Diamond status is a complimentary meal for two at a specialty restaurant of your choice. Perhaps the greatest thing about cruise line loyalty programs is that unlike most airline or hotel loyalty programs, they don't usually require customers to requalify for status every year. Typically points are automatically applied to your account within 14 points of the end of the trip. One thing to watch, however, is that we have personally seen rates actually be higher with the VIFP number entered than when searching without. While we are far from Diamond members, it was strange to see the higher rates. That’s why we would suggest searching with and without the club number entered, just to be sure you’re getting the best rate. The good news is that no matter your status there are benefits to enjoy. The most common and reliable way to earn by far, however, is to sail on the cruise line.

The more a person cruises, the more points they earn, which leads to a higher status level in the VIFP Club. The Carnival Cruise credit card earns FunPoints, which are different from the VIFP Club points you can earn from Carnival's cruise loyalty program. Carnival Cruise Line automatically enrolls passengers in its loyalty program when they book a cruise, but it is advised for all travelers to create onboard accounts on the line's website. Even at the lowest One Star level, the perks are fairly robust, at least as compared to loyalty programs of many of Windstar's small-ship cruise line competitors. We're just a little surprised that Princess doesn't offer this perk until the third tier of its loyalty program.

So if you earn 25 points within the program but then don’t sail for a few years, you’ll still have the same point level and status as before. This is different than loyalty programs like with airlines where the points you earn often “drop off” after a length of time. If you’ve earned Gold status, then you don’t have to worry about being dropped back to Red status just because you don’t sail for a while. Being able to make a single purchase (or do a balance transfer) and receive a welcome bonus helps make this card worth considering for frequent Carnival cruisers. The Carnival cruise credit card's two big highlights are that it has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.

Blue Level (First Cruise)
Priority boarding and disembarkation are only the beginning. You’ll immediately start receiving cruise offers from Carnival by email, and you may be eligible for discounts or special offers on your first cruise but can opt out at any time. Signing up for a Carnival website account allows you to access the line's full array of planning and booking tools. All guests who take their first cruise with Carnival Cruise Line are enrolled at the Blue level.
Typically, passengers earn one cruise point for each cruise day, and certain promotions or suite bookings might offer additional points. But the best elite perk of the VIFP Club program in our eyes is the unlimited wash-and-fold laundry service that comes with Diamond status. Platinum Level (75 to 199 points)
The program is structured on a point system, in which members receive one VIFP point for each day cruised with Carnival. As with several other cruise line loyalty programs mentioned above, the first tier of the Mariner Society loyalty program (Star Mariner) doesn't come with too many valuable perks. One of the nice little surprises of Carnival's loyalty program is that you hit the first tier level, Blue, the moment you walk on board your first cruise with the brand. Unlike many lines, you don't have to complete a cruise to get to the first level. It bumps the discounts for laundry service, Wi-Fi, shore excursions and Windstar merchandise to 10%. If you're the kind of cruiser who does a shore excursion in every port and regularly uses onboard services, such as laundry and Wi-Fi, this could save you $100 or more on a typical seven-night cruise. At the Two Star level, customers get all the above plus a 5% discount on shore excursions and beverage packages (again, the latter discount does not apply to the line's All-Inclusive Fares).
As regular MSC Cruises customers know, there are five experiences available when cruising with the line, each with different inclusions and at different price points. Bella is the most basic and least expensive experience available. Experiences called Fantastica, Wellness and Aurea fall in between.
If you spend $1,000 a week on excursions, that perk alone is worth $150 per seven-night cruise. Upon reaching the second tier of the program, Platinum, you get a few more perks. The most notable, to us, is access to special member discounts on balcony cabins and suites. The Platinum tier also brings matching status in the loyalty program of Royal Caribbean's sister line, Celebrity Cruises. Unlike rival Royal Caribbean, Carnival's VIFP Club loyalty program doesn't offer its members a free cruise after reaching the top tier. There are no 20% discounts on some sailings, as Windstar Cruises offers to its loyalty program members.
